Production Supervisor - 2nd Shift

  • Directing and coordinating the daily activities involved in producing products.
  • Provides leadership to employees by setting the example, exercising good communication techniques, supporting the Company's policies and procedures and treating employees fairly and consistently.
  • Focuses on improving activities by reviewing and analyzing data to determine areas of opportunities.
  • Explains Company's policies, business plans and conditions to employees so they are aware of the operating environment.
  • Responsible to provide a safe and productive work environment.
  • Investigates deviations in efficiency, scrap, on-time delivery, PPM and other measurable, determines root cause, and works with direct reports to implement effective countermeasures.
  • Develops 5S culture and leads to world class status.Ensures that inventory is controlled properly through reporting and scrapping in ERP system.
  • Prepares accurate and timely performance evaluations on team members.
  • Provides employees with guidance, counseling, training and development so that the employee can be effective in their position.
  • Studies production schedules and estimates manpower requirements to meet production and shipping schedules.
  • Works with program management team members to ensure program timing, including conferring with management, engineering and other staff regarding manufacturing capabilities, and production schedules to facilities the manufacturing process.
  • BS degree in engineering or related field or equivalent experience.
  • Experience in plastic molding and assembly preferred.
  • Strong analysis, problem solving, process and trouble shooting skills.
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles.Ability to read and understand engineering drawings, including GD&T.
  • Highly organized and possess good decision-making skills.
  • Must have demonstrable technical presentation skills.
  • Willingness and ability to travel as necessary.
  • Overtime is a requirement for this position.
  • Working knowledge of QS9000, ISO140001 and TS16949.
