Warehouse and Receiving Associate

1st Shift

  • Ensures efficient handling of all incoming materials while demonstrating an emphasis on internal and external customer satisfaction, continuous process improvement, and inventory accuracy.
  • Perform tasks according to Receiving procedures and safety policies.
  • Perform visual inspection of incoming material and note discrepancies on packing slip and/or bill of loading documentation.
  • Take pictures of damages in truck/out of truck.
  • Ensure proper delivery of accepted materials from Receiving to a warehouse location and/or to the production line.
  • Perform all associated data entry required to support material controls.
  • Make certain that product is wrapped, staged packed, and ready for shipment upon arrival of designated Carriers.
  • Ensure Carriers are loaded with appropriate BOL and customer product for departure in accordance with shuttle schedule and customer requirements.
  • Consolidate material of the internal warehouse and the finished goods product.
  • Ensure inventory accuracy of the internal warehouse by ensuring execution of daily cycle count activities.
  • Properly dispose of damaged totes, rejected materials, and/or finished goods product.
  • Proper operation to include driving of a forklift (greater than 80% of the time) and maintenance of all material handling equipment.
  • Support and Participate in problem solving groups related to work area issues.
  • Interact effectively with Logistics/Production Associates, Production Shift Supervisors and Lead Operators, Dispatchers, Drivers, and Customers as required.
  • Ensure departmental housekeeping is maintained to exceed satisfactory levels.
  • Ensure TS-16949 policies and procedures are followed in assigned work area.
  • Perform other duties as required by supervisor.
  • Must be flexible to work overtime and any shift as required.
  • High School diploma or general education degree (GED).
  • Minimum of two years experience in a warehouse or shipping production environment.
  • Ability to effectively manage time through organizing and multi-tasking.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of processes and product in assigned area.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Working knowledge of Kanban/pull systems.
  • Understanding of MRP and JIT principles.
  • Contribute effectively in a team environment while demonstrating commitment to company values.
  • Possess basic computer skills; MS Office and XPPS preferred.
