Team Leader

2nd shift (2:00pm to 10:00pm)

  • Responsible for overall quality and productivity goal achievement of work cell. This entails starting-up, monitoring, operating, maintaining, and shutting-down all areas of work cell as necessary. Coordinates material supply and change-over/production schedule in work area. Must possess ability to perform all work cell functions as appropriate and train other team members.
  • Verify process and part specifications are correct at startup, including part number, components, quantities, quality specifications and correct packaging.
  • Monitor work cell material supply and plan/react in order to maximize performance, including elevation to Supervisor or Logistics Department when necessary.
  • Lead and support equipment and parts change over.
  • Identify and arrange for return of unused parts and material in work cell.
  • Monitor cleaning board supply and refill.
  • Initiate actions when problems arise regarding safety, quality, equipment, materials, and maintenance. Elevate these issues to Supervisor immediately.
  • Obtain support as needed to maintain production, including quality inspection, material, maintenance, material handlers, and supervision.
  • Active participation in problem solving, debugging, and improving of all systems.
  • Actively support work cell to achieve maximum cell performance including working in cell when necessary as absenteeism, output, quality and training issues dictate.
  • Monitor and react to work cell and material storage area housekeeping, cleanliness and organization issues.
  • Train, monitor and provide feedback to new and/or existing work cell members. This includes providing feedback to Supervisors for completion of training matrix and to address performance issues.
  • Ensure completion of shift paperwork, including hourly tracking sheets, downtime and first piece inspection.
  • Perform re-work/disassembly as appropriate.
  • Must be able to work overtime and any shift as required.
  • $16.00 per hour plus 10% shift differential.
  • High School diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • One year of manufacturing and/or production experience
  • Demonstrated knowledge of processes and product in assigned area
  • Proven problem solving ability
  • Knowledge of preventive maintenance and ability to multi-task and work independently
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated teamwork and leadership skills
