    During the fourth semester of my degree in Mechanical Engineering I first got to know MAHLE when I worked as a spanish-german translator six months long with a group of five Mexican technicians at MAHLE-Brockhaus in Plettenberg, Germany. From that moment on I started to view how important and ample worldwide is MAHLE concerning motor components.

    Then I made my internship again in MAHLE Mexico and I wrote my thesis about a new project for a Jaguar Conrod Line. I liked from start on the solid teamwork and friendly atmosphere that it can be perceived all around MAHLE companies and it was great seeing how much I can improve and develop my knowledge, always looking forward to get further together with my coworkers.

    The high quality and great precision during the manufacturing of all his products, is what makes MAHLE a first class company and gives his customers the trustfulness that they are handling with qualified products. Since this big company exists has being growing up steadily and developing new products that the world of engineering demands, that’s why I´m proud to be part of this great team and I know it will be even better in the next few years cause we are driven by performance.

    The time I have worked for MAHLE Lerma has been full of learning not just of the manufacturing technologies of our products. Also, in general the administration and planning in the APQ process.

    Definitely in our plant we are in a process of growth, which motifs to face new challenges of a dynamic and efficient way. This has helped me to develop various skills, from the formative to the personal, such as: training, discipline, organization and teamwork. Also, feel part of the evolution of the plant is very satisfying.

    By having contact with new projects, I know that MAHLE has high expectations for this plant; therefore I see a bright future.
    In the short team we have to work hard to meet and exceed the required standards. In the medium and long term, I think MAHLE Lerma will be the best in its field at worldwide level and a strategic pillar for the organization.

    My beginnings in the company were as a Trainee in the manufacturing area, supporting in the implementation of SAP, still a great experience, and then I got the opportunity in the same area, as a production engineer.

    MAHLE is a company that enables professional development; of course, based on job performance and growth attitude each employee has, in terms of work environment is trust and companionship.

    I think MAHLE Lerma is already in the path of growth which will allow it the acquisition of new projects and customers.

    After I finished my degree as an electronic engineer, MAHLE have gave me the great opportunity to grow professionally being part of the training program “Developing Engineers”.

    Starting with “apprenticeship” course, where the main target is to form the MAHLE`s work culture based on responsibility, organization and work team and also I could develop technical skills in machining and tooling.

    After this course, my professional growing, continue making the activities in each department that make the forging area.
    MAHLE have considered the training programs, something very important to their people, this is the key of success, which is why I was given the opportunity to be part of the team and had a training during 3 months in Plettenberg, Germany Forging Plant.

    Learning the forging process and the tooling they use, and I could compare both forging plants and make an analysis, this looking for the improvement in our process. Now, I can contribute to Mahle`s success by working as Manufacturing Engineer

    I am pleased to share this part of my life. I graduated in Industrial Engineering at Technology Institute from Saltillo.
    In 2010 MAHLE gives me the opportunity to join it while when I was finishing a Masters in Management and Leadership.
    Fortunately start my career with the company when it launched the project Oil Cooler, I worked as Production Supervisor for 1 year and 2 months, developing a strong sense of service, quality and efficiency.

    In March 2011, I joined the Engineering team, and finally and additional to the Process Engineer position I assume the Production Coordination in August 3, 2012.

    I appreciate the opportunity to MAHLE and my superiors for trust me. Taking this new challenge not only excites me and motivates me to double efforts, but also prompts me to share and encourage my team to give their best.

    I hope MAHLE will be constantly growing and creating opportunities for other employees like me now presents.
    It is a great pleasure to share this good news with family.

    We are pleased to tell about our workmate Jose Antonio. He has been working with us since March, 2010. He started as a Financial Analyst, thanks his dedication and commitment within five months Jose was promoted to Cost Account.
    While in company, José has been involved in the BU2 NAFTA standardization process for the implementation of budget and costing rates in SAP.

    José receive his BA in Financial Management from Monterrey Institute of Technology and is recently working in his Master in Business Administration.

    José has been promoted as Controller at Winterset, from December 1, 2012, in this role José directly report to Jim Sturgill, Plant Manager. José will be spending several weeks each month to Winterser to enroll in this new challenge.
    In MAHLE Santa Catarina, we are proud to have people talented and committed as José. We join to Jose congratulations and his promotion and the best wishes in this new challenge.

    In this time I’ve seen that MAHLE gives opportunities to people who want to develop, and my case is an example of this. I started as an adjuster for 4 years, then i had a promotion to shift leader and soon i was given the opportunity to become the Machining Area Supervisor.

    In the time I’ve been here, Mahle has changed a lot, when i first got here we only had one high volume line and now we have eight. The people's culture has changed, we have improved production indicators and we are challenged to consolidate in the coming years.

    Mahle is a favorable place for the development of people. I started my internship in the foundry area and afterwards I had the opportunity to work for MAHLE. Here I’ve put into practice the knowledge I acquired in college as a Materials Engineer.

    I’ve had a very good experience, each one of my coworkers are always willing to give their support.

    I’ve seen we have significantly improved production, quality and housekeeping. Within the main challenges I have in medium term is to ensure the implementation of Mahle work systems to a 100%.
