Your Role & Responsibilities

  • Responsible for helping Product Engineers with design and release of components and assemblies
  • Help Product Engineers in design reviews to provide drawing evaluations to ensure proper application of specifications and GD&T as it relates to interfacing with suppliers and customers (both internal and external)
  • Interacts with Product Engineers, Design Quality Engineers, Test Engineers, Manufacturing Engineers, Designers and Suppliers in order to optimize the quality of the product design
  • Help in preparing presentations for customer tech days
  • Preparing samples for testing
  • Ordering components and preparing prototype components
  • Testing prototypes
  • Preparing test reports and presenting to team
  • Benchmark of competitor parts, analysis and documentation of results
  • Teamwork and communication with other MAHLE locations
  • Other duties and special projects as assigned

Your Skills & Strengths

  • Actively enrolled in a Bachelors or Masters degree program in Mechanical Engineering or other Engineering related field, at a four-year accredited college or university
  • 3.0 or higher cumulative GPA required
  • Sophomore, Junior or Senior class standing preferred
  • Knowledge of CATIA V5 is desired
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Past internship experience with an automotive supplier or OEM is a plus
  • Must be willing to learn and be enthusiastic
  • Work independently and take ownership and accountability of assignments
  • Great attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Great team player
  • Ability to multitask
  • Ability to lift 30 pounds
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the US
