Your Role & Responsibilities

  • SUMMARY: The Product Analysis Engineer will be responsible for performing and documenting post-test investigation and analysis work on Power Cell Unit (PCU) components. These typically include pistons, connecting rods, compression rings, bearings, bushings, and or pins.
  • ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Organize and execute tasks related to post-test analysis and root cause analysis of MAHLE engine components in the Tech Center.
  • Prepare Tech Center reports and presentations.
  • Support Application and Sales Engineers and Liaison Engineers in their tasks and work with the customer.
  • Interface with various individuals at our customers, Tech Center personnel, various MAHLE plants and departments on issues related to Tech Center work.
  • Maintain contact with other MAHLE Tech Centers as required and secure flow of information and know how between locations.
  • Understand customer requirements and tasks as well as MAHLE test and development procedures.
  • Take special assignments in relationship to the Tech Center work and other MAHLE locations.
  • Comply with Company policies, procedures, guidelines and standards.
  • Contribute to the PCU component design, design specifications, FMEA, Internal and external standards, PCU component production and inspection, test procedures and development methods.

Your Skills & Strengths

  • Bachelors Degree in Material Science, Mechanical Engineering or similar Engineering discipline is Required
  • 2 or more years of experience in post-test investigation and/or Failure Analysis of Engine Components or PCU (Power Cell Unit) components
  • Knowledge of ICE's (Internal Combustion Engines) and related PCU's or Power Generating Components (i.e. Compression Rings, Pistons, Piston Rods, etc.) is Required
  • Demonstrated experience in Failure Analysis Methodologies is Required
