Regional Security Coordinator - NA

  • Determine the gap analysis from current security procedures to the global security standards for all NA Facilities.
  • Write reports to prioritize, budget, and schedule all deficiencies that are determined in the gap analysis.
  • Assist the NA Facilities in the implementation of the global security standards.
  • Frequent travel to facilities in the USA, Canada, and Mexico is required in order to review current security procedures, compare to global standards, and to implement the global standards.
  • Actively participate in the design and management of security equipment installations, commissioning, to include access control systems and CCTV systems.
  • Perform an annual review / formal audit at each NA site.
  • Review fire protection / detection systems at the facility.
  • Review FM Global Risk Reports.
  • Coordinate with corporate purchasing regarding security vendor contracts.
  • Perform investigations as required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field of study such as Criminal Justice.
  • 10 plus years of security related experience in a manufacturing and R&D environment.
  • Knowledge of access controls, CCTV Systems, and other security countermeasures.
  • Knowledge of fire protection, detection and prevention systems and programs.
  • Ability to engage peers and key partners to coordinate security projects while understanding and working with local priorities and objectives.
  • Proficient at MS Office applications including MS Project scheduling software.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to effectively work with senior management.
  • Hands on experience of security technologies and systems.
