Industrial Engineer

Develops and deploys efficient ways to use workers, machines, materials, information and energy to manufacture our products.

  • Work with platform team members in order to develop and implement new product costs, layouts, flow charts, assembly equipment, work instructions, operator training, etc.
  • Develop standard data utilizing stop watch, M.T.M. (methods time measurement), &/or M.O.S.T. (mission, objectives, strategy, tactics), and methods analysis & standard evaluations.
  • Maintain & continuously update ergonomic standards on equipment & workplace layouts.
  • Identify & implement cost reduction ideas. Review all team-initiated cost savings and document actual vs. planned savings on a regular basis.
  • Determines plant/ production capacity.
  • Examines plant layout to develop optimal manufacturing footprint.
  • Provides input to process development for optimal material flow.
  • Focuses on lean concept activities prior to launch.
  • Continuous evaluation of manufacturing process to increase efficiency.
  • Reviews opportunities to improve run at rate.
  • Developing continuous improvement and product initiatives to achieve productivity initiatives including design to cost and lean manufacturing.
  • Ensuring lowest cost method is utilized in process (i.e. manual labor v. automation).
  • Assisting with the capacity planning for the facility.
  • Assist with defining asset utilization and planning for the facility.
  • This position will also provide supervision to weekend production operations.
