CapEx Buyer

  • Lead of Procurerment activities for assigned CapEx category as a key Product Launch Team member.
  • Prepare RFQ packages, evaluate and assess supplier's quotations to ensure commercial, technical and quality objectives are achieved.
  • Lead sourcing decision, in accordance with MAHLE Purchasing Procedures and work with global lead buyer to leverage best Total Cost of Ownership (TCO).
  • Ensure purchased equipment meets all program milestones, track and coordinate progress between suppliers and development team.
  • Communicate supplier risks to project team and facilitate escalation meetings to develop and follow-up on recovery measures.
  • Develop and implement local supplier strategies in alignment with global commodity strategies.
  • Negotiation and implementation of regional supplier agreements and contracts in compliance to MAHLE procurement, confidentiality and risk management policies.
  • Identify and implement specific cost avoidance and cash flow improvement opportunities in alignment with corporate goals and objectives.
  • Travel of up to 25% locally and internationally.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering or Business Administration.
  • At least 3 years of experience in technical procurement or other comparable filed in an automotive environment.
  • Specialized skills in negotiation, financial cost analysis and market analysis.
  • Ability to read blue prints and specifications required.
  • Understand process planning, CapEx, planning materials and processes applications and quality procedures.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes.
  • Solid time and project management, problem-solving and continuous improvement skills.
  • Excellent communication skills.
