Manufacturing Engineering Technician

1st & 2nd shifts (6am to 2pm & 2pm to 10pm)

  • Provide project launch support for new processes and equipment. This includes design, machining, fabrication, and wiring, and troubleshooting equipment issues.
  • Design of fixtures and hand tools (AutoCAD, Solidworks)
  • Fabrication of fixtures, carts, racks, etc
  • Machining to modify tooling / make basic parts, etc
  • Installation of sensors, camera’s, etc to mistake proof similar parts
  • Troubleshoot and correct equipment and process issues
  • Suggest and implement improvements to existing equipment
  • Communicate trial results for new process trials (MS Word / Excel)
  • Maintain a clean, safe work area
  • Must be flexible to work overtime including occasional outside shift hours
  • Train others on the use, troubleshooting, and repair of equipment
  • Follow all established Safety Guidelines
  • Maintain a clean, safe work area
  • Responsible for quality of own work
  • Associates degree in Industrial Technology or similar preferred.
  • Excellent problem solving skills including troubleshooting of equipment
  • Use of various hand tools including measurement devices (calipers), drill and tapping tools etc
  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and electrical schematics including wiring diagrams
  • Experience with mechanical design software (AutoCAD, Solidworks, other)
  • Basic machining (manual mill, lathe, grinders, etc)
  • Some skill with welding GMAW and/or GTAW
  • Basic wiring
  • Some experience with PLC controls a plus
  • Knowledge of automated machinery a plus
  • Must possess good written and oral communication skills
