Your Role & Responsibilities

• Support of the regional SQM of the commodity metal, chemical or electrics/electronics

• Cooperation with the Supplier Quality organizations in other regions and global functions

• Method development; ensuring the constant improvement

• Target achievement and reporting of supplier/project and series quality.

• Coordination with the other groups of Supplier Quality, Factory Quality, Preventive Quality, Logistics, Development, Purchasing

• Ensuring Supplier Quality Excellence for all customers of SQM (projects, project purchasing, plants)

• Ensuring the quality goals of suppliers in Europe to improve customer satisfaction and reduce quality and field costs.

• Ensuring the evaluation of potential new suppliers for parts/components by VDA 6.3 Potential analyses in coordination with SQAC (Reference: MBMS – Supplier Management until SOP)

• Ensuring the timely release of supplier parts (quality, quantity) according to specifications (Safe Launch) (Reference: MBMS - Supplier Management until SOP) by coordinating the SQM tasks in regional development projects as well as supporting global development projects.

• Ensuring the continuous improvement of supplier performance at MAHLE BU3 Europe in projects and in the series by measuring key figures and deriving improvement programs

• Ensuring the first-level and second-level complaint management for the sustainable correction of supplier errors

• Ensuring field complaint management for the sustainable correction of supplier errors

• Ensuring the creation, introduction, adherence to and constant improvement of the prescribed rules in all processes of the supplier quality in Europe

• Compliance with the cost budget

Your Skills & Strengths

• Engineering degree (mechatronic, electrical, electronics) or 5 years related experience and/or training in manufacturing environment; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

• Relevant experience in supplier management and/ or quality management (min. 2 years)

• Written and verbal communication skills in English and a 2nd language

• Project Management skills and experience in project management

• Strong character, authority and negotiating skills to deal with suppliers

• Strong knowledge of Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP), Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) and VDA 2, Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA).

• In-depth knowledge of the methodology for the standardized assurance of the quality and reliability of E/E products and components (Simulation, CAE, AEC Qxx - series, IPC A series, Functional Safety ISO 26262 (HIL/SIL), Automotive Spice, as well as the HV specifications).

• Knowledge of QM Requirements special for E/E components.

• Understanding of Quality Management System general and automotive (TS16949)

• Understanding and interpretation of engineering drawings and specifications.

• Experience with VDA 6.3 Audits as Auditor (must have) and / or Auditor (of advantage)

• Knowledge of Problem Solving Methodologies such as 8D, 5 Why’s, Ishikawa, Pareto Analysis, Six Sigma,

• Knowledge of measurement techniques, Measurement System Analysis (MSA)

• Knowledge on statistical methods (capability indices, SPC)

• Lean Manufacturing knowledge.

• Understanding manufacturing processes of electric/electronic assemblies:

o PCB assembly, ESD, LIN bus, software, assembly and automation, high-voltage technology

o cleanliness of particles

o Handling, packaging, shipping

• Valid driver’s license

• Flexibility and mobility (up to 50% of the year).

• Advanced computer skills using Microsoft Office applications
