Your Role & Responsibilities

  • Responsible for Supplier Plant Quality
  • Issues and facilitates supplier corrective action process.
  • Issues cost recovery reports.
  • New Programs per PDP/ANPQ Process.
  • Coordinates supplier HFI tickets with Logistics.
  • Visits supplier when needed.
  • Leads supplier visitation in partnership with other groups to review upcoming and current quality concerns.
  • Conducts root cause investigations and implements corrective actions in response to customer complaints.
  • Track and qualify or disqualify suppliers according to organization’s standards.
  • Supports Corporate Supplier Development when needed.
  • Responsible for Supplier Product Warranty and Warranty Systems.
  • Reviews customer warranty systems and quality portals daily.
  • Request warranty part returns.
  • Coordinates and assists in warranty investigations.
  • Generates individual product reports for tracking of warranty concerns and activities related to the individual part concerns.
  • Discusses and negotiates warranty claims with customers in an effort to reduce unfavorable and questionable information.
  • Nissan resident engineering program(Early Warning warranty System)
  • Visits customers as needed.
  • Identifies technical problems with suppliers and implements corrective actions.
  • Supports internal, external and customer audits.
  • Reports supplier performance to management.
  • Assists in the development and implementation of supplier management programs.
  • Maintain successful relationships with supply, engineering, manufacturing, and regulatory departments.
  • Generates weekly and monthly reports for internal and external use for the purpose of tracking warranty concerns, in-process corrective action activity and effectiveness of the acidity.
  • Generates individual product reports for tracking of warranty concerns.

Your Skills & Strengths

  • BS degree preferred or equivalent relevant experience
  • 5 to 7 years related experience, preferably within the automotive industry with primary focus on quality systems.
  • Proven problem solving training - Kepner Tregoe and or Six Sigma Black Belt and or Shainin Journeyman or equivalent would be asset.
  • Project management skills would be an asset.
  • CQE/CQA would be an asset.
  • Excellent problem-solving, mistake-proofing and product reliability analysis skills.
  • Excellent working knowledge of SPC, DOE, FMEA, MSA, PPAP, Control Plans, gage design and measurement techniques.
  • Strong organizational, presentation skills, and communication skills and multi-tasking skills.
  • Strong leadership skills. Ability to lead teams, make key decisions and work in a team environment.
  • Working knowledge of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Minitab.
  • Working knowledge of AIAG requirements, TS16949:2010 and ISO 14001 standards.
  • Ability to read, understand and interpret engineering drawings (GD&T).
  • Ability to travel as required.
