Your Role & Responsibilities

SUMMARY: The Materials Handler controls the flow of raw and purchased parts to the warehouse in an expeditious manner and to supply the production operation with an adequate number of parts to perform the build schedule. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following, other duties may be assigned: 1. Pick up and move accepted material from Receiving to a warehouse location. 2. Pick parts as required to meet the Build Schedule requirements. 3. Record movement of materials to, from, and within the warehouse locations. 4. Determine storage and handling methods required to support linestocking needs and parts presentation. 5. Linestock using carts, containers, racks, etc., developed for materials handling and to enhance the flow of goods. 6. Totally responsible for an assigned (block) or area which includes cleanliness, safety, and accuracy. 7. Train others in the use of warehousing equipment, techniques, processes of workflow, procedures, etc. 8. Perform cycle counts, audits, etc., to evaluate and improve the process, accuracy and work flow. 9. Consult group leader when workload becomes greater than can be performed. 10. Support other team members on larger projects or where there is temporary overload. 11. Assist in the execution of physical inventory activities. 12. Drive forklift and use pallet jacks. 13. Perform base preventative maintenance tasks associated with the use of forklifts as established by the Maintenance department (i.e.-check battery, oil, LP gas, hydraulic fluid, etc.) 14. Must be flexible to work overtime and any shift as required.

Your Skills & Strengths

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE: #High School diploma or general education degree (GED) #Demonstrated knowledge of processes and product in assigned area #Three (3) years of warehouse and/or manufacturing experience #One (1) year Fork truck and pallet jack experience #Familiar with Kanban/pull systems #Meet all Level 2 training requirements #Forklift/narrow aisle truck and good verbal and written #Demonstrated positive leadership skills.
