Your Role & Responsibilities

  • SUMMARY: Lead the site Maintenance function in providing both a reactive and proactive, multi-skilled maintenance service on all operational equipment and facilities infrastructure. Responsible for RCM principles through maintenance work identification, prioritization, planning, scheduling and execution and ensure adherence and timely completion of work carried out.

This is a very valued role within the MAHLE team at our Dayton facility.Primary role is to Increase the plant maintenance effectiveness, through improved machine reliability and availability, improving MTBF, and machine downtime reduction, managing and implement improvement plans, driving Key Performance Indicators (KPI's) while ensuring that Health, Safety and Environmental requirements are adhered to. In conjunction with the Department Head, will manage the team on technical best practices and establish standard policies and procedures while mentoring and leading the department. Implement and manage continuous improvement and modern manufacturing principals by highlighting deficiencies and recommending changes in training, working practices and maintenance work processes.

Your Skills & Strengths

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE #Bachelors degree required, Engineering preferred. #Technical capability and understanding of RCM (Reliability Centered Maintenance principles #Must be able to work under pressure and bring a positive attitude to the team. #Proven interpersonal, technical and managerial skills. #Extensive plant level experience with significant proven experience in converting a reactive maintenance environment to a proactive maintenance environment through implementation of RCM principles: #Preserve equipment, machine and system function. #Identify and analyze how functions are defeated (failure modes). #Addressing failure modes by importance. #Defines applicable maintenance task candidates and selects the most effective one for the important failure modes #Understanding the essence of quality control plans (QCP) for maintenance activities and lean manufacturing principles #Experience of creating budgets for maintenance, but also managing maintenance costs #Understanding of IATF 16949, OSHA, and ISO 14001 #Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office & SAP PM and MM modules #A self-starter, motivated and able to positively motivate others #Focused and target driven with a positive, can-do attitude
