From the idea to the production readiness and beyond – technical sales supports the entire development process and product life cycle, internally and externally. They act as the interface between the individual business units, plants and regions as well as the contact partner for our local customers. Through our key-account managers and regional teams of experts, we provide individual support to our major customers. Our broad range of activities requires exceptional technical knowledge and the ability to explain complicated information to our customers. For this reason, we recruit engineers who have business acumen, can deal well with people, have the necessary technical background and ensure that our customers reach their goals.

As the world market leader, we develop, coordinate and carry out the best global product-group strategies. In a precisely targeted manner, procurement market, price and value analyses are performed, national and international negotiations conducted and development projects supported in close cooperation with various planning and manufacturing departments. We actively procure production materials for our various business units. With the support of supply management, we facilitate the optimal selection of suppliers, refine this system and ensure smooth supply flows to our production facilities. Forward-sourcing activities, conducted in close cooperation with development departments, ensure that proper suppliers are in place. Non-production procurement handles the conditions and supplier performance – from services and office equipment to production facilities. Agreements are reached and negotiations conducted on a global, regional and country level. Work is performed using the latest tools, including e-catalogue management and online auctions. We have over 170 production plants on five continents and all follow common standards. Our efficient, state-of-the-art production processes around the world facilitate ergonomic serial production on the highest level. Every plant has an autonomous team. In logistics, we cover the entire value chain, from the customer to the supplier, from the request for quotation to the bid. We develop individual logistics concepts and support projects - from the selection of the production location to the launch of serial production at any site in the world. We help our plants with major logistics projects in the fields of factory and layout planning, material flow and warehouse planning as well as supply and waste-disposal systems. And ensure their introduction by providing efficient project management and controlling. In areas such as strategic planning, supply chain management or production and warehouse logistics, these challenges offer much freedom and responsibility for our employees. We have a logistics network that has enormous know-how and has accumulated years of experience.
