MAHLE's presence in Thailand was first established in 1972 through a technical collaboration with piston specialist Izumi Piston Manufacturing Co.(Thailand) Ltd. (currently, MAHLE Engine Components (Thailand) Co.,Ltd.).

The commitment to the Thailand market has been further reinforced through gradual financial investments and later full acquisition of Filter specialist Siam Tsuchiya Mfg. Co., 1981 and renamed to be Siam Tennex Mfg. Co., 1996. (currently, MAHLE Siam Filter Systems Co., Ltd.).

In 2012 MAHLE Services (Thailand) Ltd. was founded and functions as a “Shared Services Center” for the MAHLE Group in South East Asia. Their main business activities are Finance, Accounting,Tax, Sales, IT, Human Resources and R&D services.

In 2014 MAHLE’s product portfolio was expanded into the mechatronics sector in Thailand with the acquisition of Kokusan MAHLE Siam Co., Ltd. (currently, MAHLE Siam Electric Drives Co.,Ltd.).

MAHLE Thailand with 3 production locations and the Shared Service Center has more than 670 employees and is an integral part of the global network of MAHLE. This network serves the diversified needs of the customers worldwide.
