Tips for your application

What should be in the cover letter? How can I prepare for a job interview? What can I expect in the Assessment Center? There are many questions in applying for a job. We have tips for you.

A cover letter

Basically, no cover letter is needed for your application to MAHLE. You can of course prepare one. Explain in the cover letter on a short page who you are, what you would like to do at our company, and why you are the right person for the job described, the trainee position or the apprenticeship position.

Your Resume / CV

List all prior school and professional steps in your resume. Your resume should be complete, so that we can follow all positions during your career.

Of course, your contact data, including your address, telephone number, cell phone and fixed line phone numbers and email address, should also be in the resume. Please only give the telephone number at which we can most easily reach you.

Documents

Please send your certificates, proof of apprenticeships, continuing education and professional education as attachments to your application.

Job interview

You have the opportunity to get to know us better, first in the telephone discussion, then at a MAHLE site. That’s where we’ll present ourselves and your future area of expertise. Use the opportunity to clarify all questions which are relevant to your decision.

Thought of everything? Checklists for your application

Checklists for secondary school students

  • Is my cover letter longer than a short page?
  • Do I explain in my cover letter why I’m the right person for this job?
  • Have I checked the cover letter for typos and spelling?
  • Does my CV contain all the relevant positions and information about me?
  • Do I have a businesslike picture rather than a recreational snapshot?
