Tips for your application

What should be in the cover letter? How can I prepare for a job interview? There are many questions in applying for a job. We have tips for you.

A cover letter

Basically, no cover letter is needed for your application to MAHLE. You can of course prepare one. Explain in the cover letter on a short page who you are, what you would like to do at our company, and why you are the right person for the job described, the trainee position or the apprenticeship position.

Your Resume

List all prior school and professional steps in your resume. Your resume should be complete, so that we can follow all positions during your career.

Of course, your contact data, including your address, telephone number, cell phone and fixed line phone numbers and email address, should also be in the resume. Please only give the telephone number at which we can most easily reach you.

Please send your certificates, proof of apprenticeships, continuing education and professional education as attachments to your application.

Job interview

You have the opportunity to get to know us better, first in the telephone discussion, then at a MAHLE site. That’s where we’ll present ourselves and your future area of expertise. Use the opportunity to clarify all questions which are relevant to your decision.

  • Clear organization is critically important to your application. For this reason, we ask you to please organize such documents as cover letter, resume, college transcripts and professional references in chronological order.
  • How do we prefer to receive your application? There’s no question about it: online. Please apply from the MAHLE recruiting portal.
  • Would you like to have more information about the job opening, an internship or our international graduate program? Then you should just get in touch with your contact partner. You will always find the person’s name in the job listing or in the contact section.
  • Are you interested in more than one job opening? No problem. Please send us one application in which you rank the position that interests you most as the top priority. You can also list a second and third priority in your cover letter.
