Here’s how the application process works at MAHLE

The best and fastest way for you to apply for a job in Austria is online via the MAHLE recruiting portal.

We have summarized the most important steps below and explain how your application will be processed.

There are different ways to apply for jobs advertised abroad. We have provided this information on separate career pages. Simply select the relevant country on the world map to find out more.

Your Online Application

The “Apply Now” button on each job posting takes you directly to the MAHLE recruiting portal. The first time you apply online at MAHLE, you need to complete your registration. When you next visit the MAHLE recruiting portal, you can log in using your e-mail address and the password you created.

Documents for your application

Your complete CV and you cover letter are the most important documents for us to start the application process. If you have additional documents, like certificates, that would be great. If needed, you can also send additional documents at a later point in time.

So we need the following for your application:

  • Complete CV. You can simply upload this.

Further, depending upon the job, various documents which can also be submitted:

  • Work certificates
  • Credentials
  • Proof of apprenticeships and continuing education
  • Enrolment and school certificates

Please note that your files should be in one of the following formats: DOC, DOCX, JPG, JPEG, PDF, PPT, PPTX. The maximum file size is 10 MB.

The next step in your application

  • You have sent your online application to the responsible contact who is named on the job description. We confirm receipt by email.
  • Our recruiting team will check your documents and forward these to the right department.
  • If the feedback is positive, we will call you. You can discuss your first questions in this telephone call with your contact from our recruiting team.
  • We look forward to learning more about you in this personal discussion. You will receive detailed information about the department and the position to be filled. At the same time, you will have the opportunity to learn more about your potential new employer. Above all, you can tell us your expectations for your future job.
  • If we're both convinced that we should work together, there’s nothing in the way of signing a contract.
  • Depending upon your career level, there might be additional selection processes such as, such an assessment center for graduates who apply for the international graduate program. This information as well as instructions about possible application deadlines can be found on the pages of the respective entry levels.

Our onboarding process—welcome to the MAHLE team!

It is important to us that our new colleagues feel at home right from the start and settle in quickly. The following activities will help you get to know your new employer:

  • An introduction to the MAHLE product portfolio
  • Plant tours

In addition, each location offers individual induction programs to help you find your way around your department in the first few weeks. These include a buddy program, a structured induction plan, and regular discussions with your contact in HR.
