This International Day of Women and Girls in Science, we highlight the scientific vision and Pioniergeist of our colleague Dr Estela Mari Ricetti Bueno. As R&D Coordinator at MAHLE’s Global Biomobility Center in Jundiaí, Brazil, Estela drives research, experimentation, and digital innovation at the forefront of sustainable mobility. With three decades in engineering and applied sciences, Estela leads multidisciplinary R&D teams that integrate computational modeling, physical experimentation, and precision measurement to accelerate bio-mobility solutions. Her leadership brings advanced numerical simulation, AI-enhanced validation, and data-driven experimentation into real-world applications—driving cleaner, more efficient mobility technologies and advancing the fundamental science behind renewable fuels at MAHLE.For Estela, science is a collective journey of discovery: “At MAHLE, "Stronger Together" is not just a message—it’s our daily reality. We grow by sharing knowledge, solving complex problems together, and supporting each other through every scientific challenge.” Her career is also a story of resilience and inspiration. Estela pursued scientific excellence while raising her children—even defending her doctoral thesis during pregnancy. Today, she continues to expand her expertise in digitalization, data science, and AI, driven by an unwavering curiosity. Her advice to future scientists: “Nurture your curiosity. Invest in your growth. Let your passion for science lead the way.” Thank you, Estela, for your dedication to research, innovation, and scientific progress—and for inspiring future generations of women and girls in science. #MAHLE #TeamMAHLE #WomenInScience #StrongerTogether #Science #Research #Innovation #Pioniergeist #WeShapeFutureMobility #DiversityMatters
