You have just completed your studies and are now looking for an exciting opportunity to start your professional journey in a global company?
The Global Career Starter Program is our 18-month entry-level rotation program that is tailored to you and gives you a successful start to your career. With up to 6 job rotations through different departments, you will gain a variety of insights and take on exciting responsibilities. In addition to working in multinational teams, you will expand your international experience and network through an assignment abroad at one of our global locations. Our aim is to create an environment in which you can accelerate your professional and personal development. That's why we support your development through mentoring, training, and networking activities. At the end of the program, you will be well equipped to start in your target position at MAHLE.

Our 18 month Global Career Starter Program offers you everything you need for a successful career start. Accelerate your development through up to six individually tailored job rotations, an international assignment at one of our global locations, executive level mentoring, targeted training sessions, and a global, cross-functional community that actively supports your professional and personal growth.

In this video, Jennifer and David share their personal insights and explain what makes the Global Career Starter Program unique.
David joined the program in 2024 after completing his master’s degree in engineering, motivated by the desire to grow in an international environment. Through several job rotations in different areas of quality management, he has gained broad practical experience. His international assignment at the U.S. warranty center enabled him to further deepen his expertise and expand his global network. In addition, he actively participates in mentoring, training sessions, and the global cross-functional community. Altogether, David sees the program as an excellent foundation for launching his career.
Jennifer joined the program in 2017 in product management within the Life Cycle & Mobility business unit. For her, the program stands out due to its global mindset, close collaboration with colleagues worldwide, a strong cross-business unit network, and continuous personal and professional development. After completing the program, Jennifer led several global projects and spent more than three years as an expatriate in China. Today, she leads the Thermal Management product group in the EMEA region and supports a current program participant in her team – an opportunity to pass on her experience to current participants. Jennifer recommends the program to anyone who wants to grow in an international environment and make an impact from day one.

What we are looking for
As a trainee, you will start at a high level at MAHLE. You have the best prerequisites for this:
- Master’s degree in the desired subject area with above-average grades
- First practical experience through relevant internships (ideally in the automotive industry)
- International experience through studies abroad or internships
- High motivation, curiosity, and commitment to professional and personal development
- Holistic entrepreneurial and change mindset as well as hands-on mentality
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- English proficiency

Recruitment Process
Our recruitment process is simple and streamlined: You’ll start with a one-hour online interview with our regional recruiter. If you successfully complete this round, we’ll invite you to an online Assessment Center – a great opportunity for us to get to know each other even better.
During the Assessment Center, you’ll work through different exercises that help us understand your strengths and fit for the program. At the same time, we want to create an open and transparent exchange, giving you the chance to learn more about us. To support this, you’ll also have a personal networking session with one of our current program participants, offering you authentic, behind the scenes insights into the Global Career Starter Program.
