Here’s how the application process works at MAHLE

The best and fastest way for you to apply for a job in Germany is online - using the MAHLE eMploy recruiting portal. We have put together the most important steps for you here. You can also track your application’s progress.

There are different ways to apply for jobs advertized at our international locations. Just select the respective country on the world map and learn more about it.

Your Online Application

You will find an “apply”button on each job description which leads you directly to the MAHLE eMploy recruiting portal. If you're applying to MAHLE online for the first time, register just one time for the eMploy application wizard. This then leads you step-by-step through your application. For subsequent visits to the MAHLE eMploy recruiting portal, you only need to log in with your self-selected password and email address.

Documents for your application

Your complete CV is the most important document for us to start the application process. If you have additional documents, such as a cover letter or certificates, that would be great.

So we need the following for your application:

  • Complete CV. You can simply upload this in eMploy.

Further, depending upon the job, various documents which can also be submitted:

  • Work certificates
  • Credentials
  • Proof of apprenticeships and continuing education
  • Enrolment and school certificates

Please note that your files should be in one of the following formats: DOC, DOCX, JPG, JPEG, PDF, PPT, PPTX.

Through the MAHLE eMploy recruiting portal in a few steps

  • Our application wizard leads you quickly and easily through your application in just a few steps. Filling out the form takes only about 10 to 15 minutes:
    • Personal data
    • A cover letter
    • Uploading your files
    • Overview and release

  • Are you interested in several positions, rather than just one? No problem! Since you’re already registered in the MAHLE eMploy recruiting portal, you only need to update your data after clicking on the “apply” button at the next job description.
  • We recommend that you release the “overview and release” tab so that your profile can be seen in our global candidate pool. Should your profile also fit additional MAHLE positions, we can then easily integrate you in the application process.

The next step in your application

  • You have sent your application? We confirm receipt by email.
  • Our recruiting team will check your documents and forward these to the right department.
  • If the feedback is positive, we will call you. Generally we will get back to you after one to two weeks after submitting in your application. You can discuss your first questions in this telephone call with your contact from our recruiting team.
  • We look forward to learning more about you in this personal discussion. You will receive detailed information about the department and the position to be filled. At the same time, you will have the opportunity to learn more about your potential new employer. Above all, you can tell us your expectations for your future job.
  • If we're both convinced that we should work together, there’s nothing in the way of signing a contract.
  • In general our application and recruiting process takes about eight weeks.

Depending upon your career level, there might be additional selection processes such as, such an assessment center for graduates who apply for the international graduate program. This information as well as instructions about possible application deadlines can be found on the pages of the respective entry levels.

Our onboarding process – Welcome to the MAHLE team!

It is important to us that our colleagues feel comfortable right from the first day, and are able to quickly get their bearings in their new jobs. We provide the following services to help you to get to know your new employer:

  • A full-day Welcome Day with information on key MAHLE-specific questions
  • An introduction to the MAHLE product portfolio
  • Factory tours
  • A tour through the MAHLE corporate exhibition for locations in the Stuttgart region

In addition, each location offers individual initial training programs to make your first few weeks in your new department a little easier. This includes a Buddy Program, a structured initial training plan and regular discussions with personnel support staff.

You can activate your profile in the applicant pool under the “Overview & Release” tab in the eMploy application wizard.

In addition, we recommend that you subscribe to our job agent. This will immediately inform you as soon as a job that fits is posted. Learn more in the next section.

The job agent tells you about newly-published positions

Simply subscribe to the job agent in order to be kept up-to-date about our open positions. You can place several search queries at the same time. You will be informed by email on a regular basis about published positions which fit your filter criteria.
